At the height of Casey’s real estate success, our paths crossed—and after everything we’d both been through, we found our home in each other.
Malea: I was born to be an entrepreneur—but not just to sell. I wanted to help people, a drive that ultimately led me to real estate.
At first, I thought I was going to be a nurse—I even worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant—before realizing it wasn’t the right fit. Still, drawn to the world of healing, I enrolled in massage school. After Graduating, I started working at a spa. While I enjoyed my work, I didn’t love being an employee, so I opened my own massage business. I was 22, and that business meant everything to me. I was a single mom to my son Parx, and I loved the flexibility and the freedom of running something I’d built myself, that gave me the most time to spend with my son.
After 10 years of running my massage business, I got married and had two more children, Arlo and Maja. My focus shifted and I became a stay-at-home mom, which I was lucky to do. I loved to sew, making clothing for my children and with the entrepreneur spark still alive in me, I decided to turn that passion into a business. I launched an online custom fabric company, selling to boutiques and sewing enthusiasts. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go as planned and I got divorced. My fabric company was a great way to support myself and my children, while being able to work from home.

In 2019, everything changed when a mutual friend introduced me to Casey. He was already working in real estate, and I had the chance to watch him in action. I learned so much—and fell in love with both the man, the entrepreneur, and the real estate business. Meeting Casey changed my life. I found not only a life partner, but a partner in business.
Casey: Since high school, I knew I wanted to be in construction. My dad owned a machinery business, and he encouraged me to build something of my own.
I started as a grunt laborer and worked my way up to project manager for a construction company. Eventually, I transitioned into managing luxury home construction—handling everything from scheduling and ordering materials to overseeing the entire
process. By 22, I was flipping houses and had launched my own remodeling business.Along the way, I realized I had a gift for sales and became a full-time REALTOR®. I started as an agent and, by 2018, I owned five real estate offices across Utah and Arizona—branches of a national franchise—overseeing around 100 agents.
It was a valuable learning experience, but I found myself drifting from what I loved most: working directly with clients. While I enjoyed management, my heart was in connecting with people and helping them buy or sell a home.
That’s when I met Malea. At the time, it was just me and my daughter, Brighton. Not only did I fall in love with Malea, but we also shared a
passion for doing meaningful work. We partnered as a husband-and-wife team and, in 2024, we realized it was time to leave the franchise. We wanted to align with a forward-thinking brokerage that welcomed innovation. I craved the creative freedom to build our brand, be tech-driven, and fully express my passion for this business.
Joining Real Estate Essentials in St. George made that dream a reality. I was able to implement unique practices that truly set us apart—like ou
r presence on national television. Our brokerage features an in-house TV studio, and every Sunday evening, we air a real estate show on ABC, Hulu, and Telemundo (yes, there’s a Spanish version!). We showcase our listings to an audience of about 20,000 viewers—giving our clients an unmatched advantage in marketing their homes.
We also built a podcast studio inside the brokerage, where I interview builders, top agents, and even local politicians—all with the goal of educating our community about the home buying and selling process.
As for the business, I still train agents and lead a team that generates billions in sales. But for Malea and me, our greatest priority will always be our clients. We fell in love with this industry because of the opportunity to meet new people, create genuine connections, and help them achieve their real estate goals. Connecting with you, getting to know you, and offering the best possible service is what we care about most.
As passionate as we are about our business, Malea and I also prioritize life outside of work. We love making lasting memories as a
family through boating. Our kids are learning to surf and love enjoying the beauty of the lake. We also enjoy traveling, both as a couple and with our children. Malea grew up riding horses and recently got a gypsy vanner horse named Sky that she loves to train, and passing along that passion to the kids.
As a real estate team, we balance each other out and bring a unique set of strengths to the
table. Malea is a lifelong local who knows the area inside and out, while Casey brings years of experience in real estate––let’s not forget he has trained hundreds of agents across the years–– and a strong background in construction. If one of
us is busy, the other steps in—ensuring our clients are always supported and never left with unanswered questions.
Together, we’ve weathered all kinds of markets. We use that experience to guide clients with honesty and clarity. Casey’s construction knowledge helps us spot red flags in properties, and we’re not afraid to speak up when a home isn’t right for someone. Our goal is to be a calm, neutral voice of reason—offering advice grounded in facts, not emotions. We specialize in luxury homes and use targeted marketing to connect with serious buyers. We value our clients’ time and ask smart questions upfront to understand their goals. From start to finish, our mission is simple: guide you from point A to B with efficiency, honesty, and zero wasted time.
Sincerely,
Mathew Casey Jones Malea Jones
